Privacy Policy

The short version

No account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not receive or store any personal data.
Your location and your recorded hikes stay on your iPhone.
Weather requests send Apple only the trail's start coordinates, never your own position.
Directions open in the maps app you choose; support email is used only to answer you.

Who we are

What we collect

Nothing. Cyprus Trails has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not receive or store any personal data.

Location

The app asks for your location only when you use a location feature: checking in for a stamp, sorting trails by distance, showing your position on the map, sharing your coordinates, or recording a hike. Your position is used on your iPhone and is never sent to us. While you record a hike, the app keeps using your location in the background (iOS shows a blue indicator) until you pause or finish; it never tracks you at any other time. Coordinates you choose to share go only to the app or person you pick.

Stamps

Stamps are saved on your iPhone as the trail, the date and whether it was a geo or manual stamp. No coordinates are saved. If you turn on iCloud sync, the same stamp list is stored in your own iCloud account by Apple so it appears on your other devices. We cannot access it.

Recorded hikes

When you record a hike, its track, times and statistics are saved only on your iPhone. You can export a hike as a GPX file or delete it at any time. Saved trails and your personal notes are also kept only on your iPhone.

Weather

Forecasts come from Apple Weather. The app sends Apple only the coordinates of the trail start, never your own location. Sunrise and sunset are calculated on your iPhone.

Maps and directions

Map backgrounds are provided by Apple Maps. Directions open in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, whichever you choose; the destination is passed to that app or website and handled under its own privacy policy.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your choices and rights

You can turn location access off at any time in iOS Settings. Turning off iCloud sync stops syncing; deleting the app removes all stamps from the device. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete, but you can contact us with any request under the GDPR.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be included in an app update with a new effective date.

Website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Πολιτική Απορρήτου Cyprus Trails (Ελληνικά)

Το Cyprus Trails είναι εφαρμογή iOS της PRAESI Technologies Ltd. Παρουσιάζει τα επίσημα μονοπάτια της φύσης της Κύπρου και το Ευρωπαϊκό Μονοπάτι Μεγάλων Αποστάσεων E4, με χάρτες, υψομετρικά προφίλ, καταγραφή πεζοπορίας, σφραγίδες μονοπατιών και εργαλεία ασφάλειας.

Με λίγα λόγια: Το Cyprus Trails δεν έχει λογαριασμούς, analytics, διαφημίσεις ή παρακολούθηση. Η εφαρμογή δεν συλλέγει προσωπικά δεδομένα. Η τοποθεσία σας και οι πεζοπορίες σας μένουν στο iPhone σας.

1. Τοποθεσία

Η εφαρμογή ζητά την τοποθεσία σας μόνο όταν χρησιμοποιείτε λειτουργία τοποθεσίας: check-in για σφραγίδα, ταξινόμηση κατά απόσταση, εμφάνιση της θέσης σας στον χάρτη, κοινοποίηση συντεταγμένων ή καταγραφή πεζοπορίας. Η θέση σας χρησιμοποιείται στη συσκευή και δεν μας αποστέλλεται ποτέ. Όσο καταγράφετε μια πεζοπορία, η εφαρμογή συνεχίζει να χρησιμοποιεί την τοποθεσία σας στο παρασκήνιο (το iOS δείχνει την ένδειξη τοποθεσίας) μέχρι να κάνετε παύση ή να τελειώσετε· δεν σας παρακολουθεί ποτέ άλλη στιγμή.

2. Στη συσκευή σας

Ο κατάλογος μονοπατιών· οι σφραγίδες σας (μονοπάτι, ημερομηνία, με τοποθεσία ή χειροκίνητα — χωρίς συντεταγμένες)· οι καταγεγραμμένες πεζοπορίες σας (διαδρομή, χρόνοι, στατιστικά)· τα αποθηκευμένα μονοπάτια και οι σημειώσεις σας. Μπορείτε να εξαγάγετε μια πεζοπορία σε GPX ή να τη διαγράψετε όποτε θέλετε. Όλα διαγράφονται μαζί με την εφαρμογή.

3. Προαιρετικός συγχρονισμός iCloud

Αν τον ενεργοποιήσετε, η λίστα σφραγίδων αποθηκεύεται από την Apple στον δικό σας λογαριασμό iCloud ώστε να εμφανίζεται στις άλλες συσκευές σας. Εμείς δεν έχουμε πρόσβαση. Οι πεζοπορίες, τα αποθηκευμένα μονοπάτια και οι σημειώσεις δεν συγχρονίζονται.

4. Καιρός

Οι προγνώσεις προέρχονται από το Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Η εφαρμογή στέλνει στην Apple μόνο τις συντεταγμένες της αφετηρίας του μονοπατιού, ποτέ τη δική σας τοποθεσία. Η ανατολή και η δύση του ηλίου υπολογίζονται στη συσκευή σας.

5. Χάρτες και οδηγίες

Οι χάρτες παρέχονται από τους Χάρτες της Apple. Οι οδηγίες προς την αφετηρία ανοίγουν στους Χάρτες της Apple, στο Google Maps ή στο Waze, όποιο επιλέξετε· ο προορισμός μεταβιβάζεται σε αυτή την εφαρμογή ή ιστοσελίδα και διέπεται από τη δική της πολιτική απορρήτου.

6. Αιτήματα υποστήριξης

Αν επικοινωνήσετε μαζί μας με email, χρησιμοποιούμε το όνομα, το email, τα στοιχεία της συσκευής και το μήνυμά σας μόνο για να σας απαντήσουμε, και τα κρατάμε μόνο όσο χρειάζεται για το αίτημά σας.

7. Πηγές δεδομένων

Επίσημα ανοικτά δεδομένα της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας (data.gov.cy), με άδεια CC BY 4.0. Σημεία ενδιαφέροντος © συντελεστές του OpenStreetMap (ODbL). Υψόμετρα από Terrain Tiles on AWS Open Data (SRTM, EU-DEM). Είναι ενσωματωμένα στην εφαρμογή· δεν αποστέλλεται τίποτα για εσάς σε αυτές τις πηγές.

8. Τα δικαιώματά σας

Δεν τηρούμε προσωπικά δεδομένα από την εφαρμογή. Μπορείτε να ζητήσετε πρόσβαση ή διαγραφή της αλληλογραφίας υποστήριξης ανά πάσα στιγμή, και να υποβάλετε καταγγελία στο Γραφείο του Επιτρόπου Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα.
